I'm running XP Home SP2, and out of nowhere one day my "START" button and bottom taskbar were missing, and I can't get into several programs including Norton Internet Security, I can't send/receive email in Outlook, and I can't do anyting Java related.
I did as much of the help tips as possible....installed & ran Ad-Aware which removed many things, then ran CWShredder, which removed an MSConfig item, but I can't install most of the other programs such as Spybot and all of the Anti-Virus programs (because of the current problem).
I think not having the START button and taskbar are related to my "Shell"? but don't know how to get that back on. When I go to CTRL+ALT+DEL and run "explorer.exe" it shows it is already running.
On my HiJack this Startup Log it is showing that section is not found and the drivers are not found:
