Hi,
My IE homepage keeps resetting to about:blank. Also have a yellow caution symbol flashing on lower right toolbar. When I click, it tries to sell me malware removal software or securityuptodate. Keep getting pop-ups.
I have AVG, it has found nothing. Ran adawareSE it found and removed a ton of stuff but still have same problems. What should I do next?

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

I'm having a similiar problem to this, only there are two icons in my toolbar advertising separate "spy-scanners" and I'm also getting popups on my desktop advertising things.
