you formatted and partitioned it but did you mark it as active?also after formatting and partitioning...did you put the master back in and check in disk management to see if the drive shows up or are you just looking under my computer?

Try to download and run tweakUI.exe (147KB) from here:

Click My Computer > drives. Check all the letters. OK.
