Hi

I recently installed The GIMP then did what I had to, then uninstalled it, so I thought. It still seems to be on my system, as when I save an image, in the wee mouseover block that says, Original Location, Type, Dimensions etc. It still says "Type TheGimp20". Anyone any ideas how I can get rid of all TheGIMP files.

Hope this makes sense.

Many thanks

Grandpa

Click start then search, include hidden and system files, look for the gimp, send any files you find for it to the recycle bin, reboot before emptying the recycle bin

Hi Keith

Yeah, I'd already done that maybe I should just reinstall then uninstall again.

Cheers

That should work, use add / remove to uninstall it

Right click an image, click properties, check the programme which is set to open images, if gimp, change it, click apply
