when i use my microphone for skype the people i talk to cant hear me. uless i scraem with mic in my mouth. i tried goingto the control pannel and testing the hardware, but when i talk into mic the soundometer (bars of loudness?) dosent get past like 3 or four. when i use windows sound recorder its really quiet and scratcy. i dont know what to do ive tried to fix my self but no luck so far. pl help me.

The problem is discussed in the Skype fourms, in this thread. You can find a solution that should work. You might want to go through the whole thread, as they have made some changes in the suggested solution.
