I need to transfer an address book from outlook express on my desktop (this computer) to my laptop.
Whenever i try to move it over it losses the folders which are key to organizing it. I tried exporting to firebird but that does the same thing. If someone could help that would be great! thanks!

are these two versions of outlook the same?

Are you certain you mean FOLDERS and not groups?

I cannot duplicate this issue, even though I have read that it is an issue.

I believe they are the same version.

I do mean FOLDERS, not groups.

I'm not certain we are on the same wave length here, so just in case let's walk through this.

PC 1
Use MY COMPUTER TO NAVIGATE TO
C:\Documents and Settings\profile\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book
inside, you will find two file {somename}.wab and {somename}.wab~

Copy these files to your ipod

now, open your second PC and close all programs and navigate to the same place
C:\Documents and Settings\{somename}\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book

what do you see there? Note the name and move these files out of the folder. Now, drag the ipod .wab files into here, and rename them so they had the same name

Now open outlook express and the address book. The Folders are not the same?

While trying this a discovered there was no C:\Documents and Settings\{somename}\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book on the second PC, i created that directory and moved the files there.
It still didn't work.

The folders wouldn't stay, but groups would, so i made a group for evey folder, then switched the groups back to folders on the second PC.
