Hello,

I have been cleaning out my system thanks to your help. I have cleaned out and I thought I was emptying my Temporary Internet File folders but when I run Tune Up Utilities, there are plenty of files in there that it is looking at. Is there a way I can find these and delete them? I do have my computer set to show hidden files. Also, when I run AdAware, it gets stuck and doesn't run through. I run a Toshiba Laptop withy Windows XP.

Thanks for any help,
Ted

What were the names of the files that Tune-up found? Did they end in temp?

You can use this http://www.ccleaner.com/ to get rid of temp files.

Try re-installing ad-ware ans see if it works if it doesnt then install ewido from http://www.ewido.net/en/ and run a scan to see if its spyware or malware thats stopping ad-aware from running.

Run ewido in SAFE MODE

Are the files still listed in the program? At first there was something like 1700. This time there were only 2. But, I didn't write them down. Let me know if there is a way to retrieve them.

Okay, I re-installed AdAware and it is still stuck at the same point--a CLSID file.

Once you delete the temp files they are gone forever. Why would you want them back anyway.

Just run c cleaner once a week.

Run Ewido in SAFE MODE and see what it picks up.
