:) hi...if anyone could help it would be great...i went on one of those free serial number websites to get a serial for guitarpro and it gave me some virus that my antispyware (pestpatrol) quickly deleted

later, i went on my computer and realized that this AZE searchbar was on and my homepage was always C://secure32.html

i deleted everything with the help of these virus forum websites except for the homepage being secure32.html

my antispyware always comes up with Trojan.Win32.startpage.afs as a pest but can't delete it and whenever i change the homepage, it changes back

someone please help :woot:  :whistling: :help: :woot:

here are the hijack this results:

Looks good lets just have you run an online scan to make sure we got everything

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:
    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.

Is that the entire log ?
if so its actually not that bad,

Lets get rid of C:\WINDOWS\loadadv728.exe the rest are infected restore points we can flush out easy enough,

Open killbox, click on the delete file on reboot, copy and paste the following into the box

C:\WINDOWS\loadadv728.exe

Next click on the red circle with the x in it, make sure the system reboots,

Go 9u]Here[/u] please follow the steps to disable system restore then enable it,

After that rescan with Kaspersky and post back what it finds please
