HERE are some really basic guidlines

i left out a few things like to invest in round IDE cables, or better yet SATA.............get a good PSU, some cable wraps to keep everything neat and tidy. making your case look cool isn't nessesary, but it does make it more appealing to look at.............get what YOU want not what everyone tells you to get although most the time they know what they are talking about.........have any questions ask the people here on the forums........I havent seen a question they can't answer
