I have had an issue with the Windows Installer Service lately.

I use STOPZILLA and when it needs to update I get an error message stating that the windows installer service is missing or corrupt.

I looked for the program and when I try opening it I get a message stating that the service already exists and it wont do anything.

Whats up with that?

Thanks

Open the Command Prompt and type this, after each line press enter:
msiexec /unregister
msiexec /regserver

Edit: Or try any of the other methods described in the following article:
319624 - "Windows Installer Service could not be accessed" error message when installing application
