hello,

i used to have macromedia flash player as i used to play some web based games for the kids, however i do not know what happend to it but the games report that i should download it to play but the puter will not download, it allways reports that there was an error and to try again. i have tried various download sites. plus i cannot play games with my pals on msn messenger. ican download other things?

PLEASE help

Click start then run, type prefetch then press enter, click edit then select all, right click any file then click delete, confirm delete

Click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools to run disc clean up, click view downloaded programme files, check for macromedia entries, delete any you find, then from system tools, run disc defragmenter.

Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter, you need the XP CD and Windows File Protection will show a blue onscreen progress bar, when the bar goes, reboot


Download and install Macromedia Flash Player, click download this version, not the latest Beta version

Hello again,

thank's i did what you said only it never asked me for the xp cd. I am glad as I have an emachine and it came pre-loaded i have a restore cd and a works, money disc but thats it.

Anyway its is installed now so thanks and all the best for the 'World Cup' :whistling:
