Since they both have Firewalls, will they conflict?

From Avast website speaking of their "Network Shield":

It can be viewed as a lightweight firewall (or more precisely, an IDS (Intrusion Detection System).

I don't want a "lightweight" firewall. That's why I'm hoping to be able to use ZoneAlarm along with Avast when my NIS expires in 13 days.

Thanks!

Yeah you can run both, but the avast firewall is very good for what it is, and if you use a router for your internet you allready have a good hardware firewall not to mention the hardware firewall that modern mobos also have.

Firewalls are only important s long as you have one they arent the most important thing i prefer just using the avast one myself because it it not as obtrusive as zonealarm is and its always stopped anything zonealarm did.
