You are aware safe mode is a windows feature you have to install windows before this can happen.

motto - Just get-er-done
You could try this.
Click start
Click run
Type msconfig and hit enter
Click the radio button for Diagnostic Startup
Click apply and close
In the dialogue box that appears click restart
When windows restarts you will be in safe mode
Minimize the window and run your programs
When you are done, go back to normal startup.

click on your 1st Master: wdc etc
then continue to press F8
then continue to press F8
