XP Freezes on Startup Screen Every Time... same Spot!

My Fiancee had her laptop worked on by HP "pros" over the last couple of days and now that they have replaced 90% of the machine, we have this problem.

1. Turn on Computer
2. White Status bar goes across bottom of screen
3. Windows XP Logo comes on with Familiar small blue bar moving across bottom
4. 6th time across FREEZE

Even freezes the PC when I have tried putting the OS disc in and going for a repair.

PLEASE :blink:

!!! Someone give me some ideas!

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. There are folks here that are willing to try to help you. But first, let me suggest that if the "hp pros" worked on it and it still has this trouble, the didn't fix it! If it were me, that would make me downright unhappy with their performance and I would insist that they correct the problem. I think you should take the problem back to HP and make them fix it.
