Download l2mfix.exe from either of these two locations and save it to your Desktop.
Location 1
Location 2

Double click l2mfix.exe to begin installation - you will then need to click on Accept and then Install.
You should now see the l2mfix folder on your Desktop - open it and double click on l2mfix.bat.
You will see a window open with a warning and a list of sites that you can visit for support - as the instructions say, press any key to continue.
Press "1" and then <ENTER> to "Run Find Log".
When it has finished scanning, a Notepad window entitled report.txt will open with the results in.
Close both open windows
Post the contents of report.txt which can be found in the l2mfix folder.

IMPORTANT
DO NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so.
This fix must NOT be run in Safe Mode.

You may see an error message similar to: ''C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate the application.."
If so, please use option 5 or the web page link in the l2mfix folder to solve this error condition.
Do not run the fix portion without fixing this first.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, run HJT and click on Open the Misc Tools section.
In the next window, click on Open Uninstall Manager...
In the final window, click on Save list... and save it to your Desktop.
Copy and paste this file: uninstall_list.txt into your next reply.

That's a new one on me! Forget that then and do the following:

Download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe by Attribune from here and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all open windows before continuing as this will require a reboot.
  • Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
  • Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
  • You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 1 minute. Click OK.
  • When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button - your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
  • You will receive a "Done Scanning" message, click OK.
  • When completed, you will receive this message: "Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer", click OK.
  • Once your PC has shut down, reboot it.
Post the contents of Look2Me-Destroyer.txt (it can be found wherever you saved Look2Me-Destroyer.exe), a new HJt log AND a description of how your PC is behaving.
