Windows Security Virus?

Everytime I load Int Expl, a page from "windows security" appears as my home page and sends me to a website called www.antispywarebox.com...In addition my computer has pop-ups appearing from the "windows security". telling me how much spyware is on my computer, someone can steal private info, etc. How do i get rid of this? A

I googled "fake windows security update a virus" and found the information below. The funny thing is that when i go to click on the hits, i am automatically sent back to the site "www.antispywarebox.com"


[b]Fake Microsoft software patch triggers virus attack. A new MS Security Update and recommends that all XP users perform this update immediately

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .
That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware staff, please return to this thread.
