Hello I recently bought ďUltimate Pinball ExtremeĒ and itís been crashing on me. Iíve spent the last few days trying to fix it but Iím at a loss, so I was hoping smarter people than me might be able to help.

I've tried all that valusoft recommends on their site, but it still crashes. The game plays, itís only when you get to a point in the game where animations are involved does it crash. For example on one table there are 3 elephants that go across the screen and when their halfway past the screen the game crashes. Same thing for all the other tables when their animations are activated.

I've been able to minimize the game when it happens and this is the message I'm getting:

Application Error
The instruction at 004589b5 referenced memory at 00000000.
The memory could not be read from
Click on OK to terminate the application

A few seconds after I terminate the app. I get this message:

dwwin.exe Application Error

The exception breakpoint
A breakpoint has been reached (0x80000003) occured in the application
at location 0x77f75a58.
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on Cancel to debug the program

I've clicked on the debug and nothing happens.

I play games like DOOM 3, Vice City, HalfLife2 on this machine and they run fine. It can't be my graphics card isn't good enough.

I'd appreciate any suggestions anyone might have.

Iíve done Registry Fix, ran Virus and Adware programs, tested my memory, updated windows (except for sp2) updated drivers on video card and directx. Ran Defrag and scan disk also.

Some specs: XP Pentium 4 1500MHz Ė 1.5 GHz
1 GB RAM
75 GB Hard Drive
Nvidia GeForce3 64MB
Version 8.4.2.1

1) Why aren't you running SP2? Any particular reason?
2) Does the game for some strange reason need SP2?
3) Is your video card really only 64MB? How do you play D3, HL2?
