I downloaded spybot, and got a message from one of the spyware programs, either gaurd or blaster, i'm not sure which, and it said that a BHO had been detected. Here is my new hijackthis log so you can see what I'm talking about. Since it's from spybot, it's okay, right? If not, what do I do about it?

For some reason only one BHO showed up when I pasted the log on here, I must have cut it out accidently or something. This one should show it.

I came across this site about a week ago http://toolbar.isearch.com/uninstall/. It claims to uninstall isearch, I was going to try it, but I don't quite trust that site since I know nothing about it. Should I try it?

It seems to be running pretty smoothly, like how it was before I got the problems with the trojans, spyware and all that. The only problem with my computer(that I notice) is isearch, which is listed on mozilla firefox as one of the search engines. At the top right hand corner of mozilla it has a G, for google of course, but occasionally it is replaced with isearch. That is the only place I notice isearch.

OK,Lets try something simple first!

Go to the Program Files Folder and Locate the Folder for Mozilla Firefox!

Open it,there will be several folders, the one I am most interested in is:

SearchPlugins

See if there is an entry in there for iSearch, also look at everything in there and see what you can see!

I spec, its in the Registry but will have to do some research before I can say!

Yes, isearch is in there, the GIF Image and isearch.src. How do you want me to delete it? Should I delete it in safe mode or not?

I just noticed that there is also xpistub.dll, and xpicleanup, the reason I mention this is because of the i in both of them. I don't know if it has to do with isearch or not.

It go rid of it in the search engine list at the top right hand corner of mozilla, but at the top where url's go, if I put in "weather" then it gives me isearch results, when it would normally just go to weather.com.

OK,Thats Progress,I will need you to search that Mozilla Folder all over and see if you can locate anything in any of those folders!

Have you tried using Ad Aware or Spybot with Latest Definition Files?

Try this:

Click Start>>>Click Run>>>Type in Regedit and Click OK!

Once the Page is Open Click the Minus Sign by My Computer and Make it a Plus Sign!

Now Click Edit>>>Click Find>>>Type in iSearch and lets see what results it yields!

If it is a whole Page, them I will have to go another route but if it is just a few, maybe we can eliminate easily!

Post back and let me know what ya find!

It found one thing. Under Name it said Default, under Type it says REG_SZ, and under Data it says Content Index ISearch Creator Object. And I have tried using Ad-Aware, and I'm pretty sure it is with the lastest definition files. I haven't tried to delete anything with spybot yet.
