I have a problem with my clock and date settings. Its stuck in sept 2001 and if i try to change it it just goes back to 2001, i cant get it to stay in 2006. Hope someone can help. Thank you in advance :whistling:

does it immediately go back to 2001? or when you reboot it goes back?

get into your bios (usually f2 or del during boot) and check the time there...make sure it's got the right date and time...then restart...does the time change again? if so your CMOS battery is probably dead

Was talking about my cmos battery earlier, and was advised to change it which am going to do, could you tell me how much one would be? . Thank you.

less than 5 bucks usually...it's basically a watch battery
