Hi.

I've just reformatted my PC. I managed to install all the previous drivers except the USB to IrDA driver. The problem is I lost the installation CD. I've tried to find a similar driver in the internet but failed. So I was wondering if u guys know where to download a universal USB to IrDA driver because I do not know the manufacturer of the device.

Thanx.

Hi. You can try installing and running Everst Home Edition. It should tell you who the manufacturer of the device is. Get it at http://www.majorgeek...wnload4181.html
Once you know who the manufacturer is, you should be able to find a driver.

Ok. I've downloaded the software. Now, how do I see the manufacturer of the adapter?

I went to Devices>>Windows Devices>>Unknown

This is what I see:-

?Device Properties
?Driver Description USB to IrDA
?Hardware ID USB/Vid_07&Pid_4959&Rev_0100
? Location Information USB to IrDA

After you run the report, click on Devices, then Windows devices. You should see a listing of the devices, including the usb controller. Then click on usb controller for details.
