You don't need to use system restore now, it just needs to be on if you install media player 11

Is that the only restore point on the PC?

Install Media Player 11 to see if it plays the files, if it does not then you can look at the repair

Well it needs to see if window is genuine but the application on server seems down :

Server Error in '/' Application.

Hold off on the repair then because you will need the validation to get the updates
