Problem watching Avi videoes

how come i can watch WMV videos,but when it comes to AVI i cannot watch, any solutions to this problem?

Hey there adam101, welcome to Geeks To Go Forums.

When you say you are not able to play .avi files, is there any error messages? Or is the sound playing and the screen not coming on? Or anything else?

nothing is playing, just sound something with the codecs

Yip sounds like its the codecs.

So please download:

Then install, this should fix your problem.
