Morning all and I'm so glad I found this site. Really hope you can help me please. My home page which is set to Google has been hijacked and now keeps defaulting to http://www.syssecuritysite.com/. This advertises virus removal, mainly malwarewipe. It also wont let me use any other search engines. I also get a message that I have the virus W32Myzor.FK@yf. I also keep getting a pop up for another scan tool called SystemDoctor2006. Is this all the same bit of malware? I spent all day yesterday going through all your proceedures for malware removal but it is still there. Has anyone heard of this [bleep] thing and how I get rid. Other than this the computer seems to be running OK.
I'm running Windows XP Pro.
Is there anything else you need to know? Oh BTW I'm not all that technical so any advise in simple terms would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

Please follow the procedures outlined here: Malware Removal Guide

You will need a PC which can connect to the internet

Run all the programmes as advised then post a current Hijack This Log in a new topic in the Malware Forum

For the purpose of accurate malware analysis, Hijack This Logs are only dealt with in the Malware Forum. Posting them anywhere else will result in a delayed response

If you are unable to run any of the programmes, please ask for advice in the Malware Forum

Hi Keith:

I realised that I posted under the wrong heading in error and reposted correctly. Wonderful Crusty is helping me sort out the mess so thanks for your reply and sorry to have wasted your time.
