Hello-

Does this happen with all speaker output? Or, only when audio/video is coming from a certain program?

Do you have powered speakers? If so, check to see that they're plugged into line out as opposed to a 'speaker' jack.

Check all your cords, make sure everything is firmly seated.

This last one is kind of trial and error... things such as power cords can cause EMI over your speaker cables. Set something to play, and start moving your speaker cables around, away from other cables they might be running near. Listen as you do this, to see if the crackling gets less or goes away entirely
