I have Windows XP // Kerio Personal Firewall(in the "trial stage" - downloaded it yesturday // I have AVG Free Edition (also just installed) // Up to date Firefox Browser // the default windows securities are off // just ran hijack this and its ok // downloaded GMail Drive for my Gmail Account -- my primary problems are: my internet is way slow now, and i can't attach any attachments to any email and i can't upload things nor access GMail Drive. I've fooled around with the settings inside Kerio and AVG and Firefox and my OS - for the last couple days, to no avail. Any Ideas about how to be able to access the internet and send information (upload) like i used to?

Do you get any error message when it won't send an attachment

This is worth saving somewhere so you can run it

How much free space is on the drive?

You could run winsockfix now

This will check a few things

Items in blue which are underlined are clickable to give more information about the process

Click start then run, type prefetch then press enter, click edit then select all, right click any file then click delete, confirm delete

Click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools to run disc clean up, then from system tools, run disc defragmenter.

Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter, you need the XP CD and Windows File Protection will show a blue onscreen progress bar, when the bar goes, reboot

Download and install Tune Up 2006 Trial

Run Tune Up Disc Clean Up

Run Tune Up Registry Clean Up

Click Optimize and Improve to run Reg Defrag, which will take a few minutes and need a reboot. You should disable the antivirus programme to run this

Check the anti virus is running after the reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to optimize the computer, select computer with an internet connection from the drop down menu, this also requires a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to accelerate downloads, select the speed just above your actual connection speed, this requires a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to run system advisor

ok, i did all that and the connection is much faster! Thank you!

but, i still cannot access GMail Drive [i get the responce: An error occured: Login Failed. System Error Message: Logon Failure: unknown user name or bad password]. and "GMailFS was unable to open the volume and enumerate the files. Verify Connection to internet and Gmail.]

I cant upload still - Gmail gives me: "error code 007"

the thing right before windows clothes says something like: "kpf4qui DLL initilization failed"

I think it might have something to do with kerio?....

You could download and save a new copy of Kerio

http://www.filehippo...sonal_firewall/

Uninstall the version you have, run tune up and prefetch

Install Kerio

Send a file and use your e-mail address, leave the recipient details, to see if it uploads, make a note of any error message

it took about 8 minutes to upload the 732,17 Kb picture.

http://www5.spread-i...6e47a65f41b5877

bottom left of browser said "sending request to www5.spread-it.com..." - the same thing when i try to upload to gmail or something "sending request to xxxxx..."

i left it up because i was not getting any error messages and it went through.

when i leave it up on gmail or something it gives me this message - "OOPS... the system was unable to perform the operation. Please try again in a few seconds."
