:D well hi again,

i am still stuck here, my pc keeps freezing on me, i have tried everything and nothing seems to be helping <_<
i run nortons like every 2nd day, i run the moo cleaner as well and still same results, if there are any viruses, neither of these programs are picking them up
could it be something else wrong with my pc.please take a look at my hijack log and any suggestions would be great :D

hey shaz,

when your computer freezes, is there a program that it usually freezes with while running?

It could very likely be an overheating problem. Inspect all your fans to ensure they're functioning, remove any accumulations of dust, and consider a temp monitoring program like Motherboard Monitor:

Hey Shaz,

Admin was stating "to check all your fans" You have fans in your tower that keep the inside cool.

You need to "or have someone else" clean the inside of your tower, including your fan.

And would not hurt to check inside your Monitor as well.

Mine was pretty dirty and got it cleaned, I was even smelling something that smelled hot.

All clear now...

Modern computers generate a lot of heat. To keep cool they use fans. Not only can these fans fail, but the air movement they create, combined with electrostatic charges inside the computer, cause dust to build up quickly. You should really clean the inside your case every six months, paying special attention to the heasinks, fans, and vents. You can use "canned air" available at office or computer supply stores, and a vacuum. Just use caution around fans that they don't spin too fast or you can damage the bearings. It's recommended you hold the fan blade with your finger.

As always, have your system shut down and disconnected from power before opening the case.

Now, will this cure the lockups? Maybe. It could also be a hardware problem, or Windows operating system corruption.

ok thanks, i think i'll just get a technician in to have a look cos i have no idea about the inside of a computer.but anyways, i got this other problem, i keep getting this virus called protoride which keeps getting into my startup menu, i go run my antivirus , it cleans it then somehow it reappears.any idea on how to get rid of it completely..i have used norton/avg and the moo cleaner to rid it..

the virus seems to keep replicating itself, sometimes its protoride.A or B or C and I even got a G lol

Try restarting your computer in safe mode (to enter safe mode tap the F8 key while the computer is starting. Select Safe Mode from the menu).

Next,
1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete once.
2. Click Task Manager.
3. Click the Processes tab.
4. Double-click the Image Name column header to alphabetically sort the processes.
5. Scroll through the list and look for MsUpdate.exe.
6. If you find the file, click it, and then click End Process.
7. Exit the Task Manager.

Run a system scan using AVG, fix any problems and reboot. <_<
