We have the 'scpStelth.cih ver.2.018' spyware infecting our PC. Instead of our normal home page appearing, we get some search page. I haven't really noticed anything else going wrong while using the computer, but our usual spyware detection of Adaware Away, does not seem to be able to fix the problem. We just bought the Adaware Away program also, so if there is anything out there to help us for free, I would prefer using this. Please keep in mind, I will need step by step instructions on how to get rid of this as I am almost computer illiterate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and post your log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
