Well, what has happened is a friend, god only knows why, was using my computer and, to cut a long story short, has ended up saving a blank notepad doument on the desktop with the extension .exe so he has created a blank application. There was nothing written in the document...completely blank.

When I try to delete this I am told that it is being used by another user/program etc, etc. I have tried all I can to get rid of this file off my desktop and just cannot do it.

Any Ideas? I'm sure It's very simple, just not for someone like me.

P.S. Sorry it's so simple! I'm sure you could all do it in your sleep.
