3D Studio Max 8

Ive tried to reinstall 3Ds Max 8 twice now and it keeps giving me this error "The Procedure entry point ?addLinksG1Continuity@AcGeImpCompositeCurve3d@@QAEXN@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library AcGe16.dll." I did a PC Recovery 3-4 days ago and it started that. I uninstalled the program from Add/Remove programs, My Maya 7.0 Unlimited works, even after the PC Recovery. Any ideas on what the [bleep] its giving me problems for? :whistling:
