I have a scanner: mustek 600 cp wich I cannot install on my computer.
the computer os is: windows 2000 NT Proffesional.

I have downloaded the driver to the scanner from musteks site, but when I extract it, the file content is only a uninstall program.
Another thing is, that when I search for a "new component" on the computer, the computer doesnt find the scanner at all.

Can someone please help me with this problem?
I really need this scanner to work.

Thanks in advance/
Robin

So it uses Parallel. Does the manufacturer have older drivers you can use?

on the mustek website, there are many difrent drivers for many diffrent components.

for this component, mustek 600 cp, there was only one downloadeble driver, and that one had just a "uninstall" program in the file I extracted.

are you saying I should try an download an older driver?

Hello & welcome to – Geeks to Go

I have a scanner: mustek 600 cp wich I cannot install on my computer.
the computer os is: windows 2000 NT Proffesional.

I have downloaded the driver to the scanner from musteks site, but when I extract it, the file content is only a uninstall program.

Per instructions from Mustek – you must – uninstall old driver version – first –
http://www.mustek.co...sEPP_2keng.html

Here are other links to look at -

Mustek Support

Windows 2000 Instructions

NOTE-
You will have to find out if Mustek really supports Windows 2000 – Many manufacturers that have scanners for Win 98 – do not support any Win 2000 drivers – since Scanners have come way down in price – and USB Scanners are fairly inexpensive today –

Greeetings,

I just downloaded the 600 CP drivers from the Mustek site (c6epe13.zip - English ver) and ran the install. It ran through the driver install, though I could not test it without the having a 600 cp scanner.

This question may have already been asked/answered but is this the Parallel port version?? If so, do you have EPP turned on the attached port?

Sorry, but I didn't take a look at the individual files as they were part of EXE installation set. They are nice enough to put a driver uninstall in PROGRAM FILES though.
