I have been having problems with my mouse pointer lately; it jumps automatically to the Start button every couple of minutes. It is really annoying, especially when I am working on something, and all of a sudden, the mouse pointer jumps to the Start button. I have Win XP operating system, and I went to the Control Panel, and when I change something there (anything) and click on the Apply button, the mouse pointer does not jump anymore. But, next time I turn on my computer, it starts jumping again. I think my mouse settings are overwritten each time I restart my PC. Any ideas how to fix this? Help is greatly appreciated.
