While trying to see if there are any rental guard dogs in my area, I did a search and clicked on a spot that mentioned my city. when it connected it was on an area that would not let me "escape", x out or anything and in order to see their website one must click on their little window and in the process make them my home page for the net.
The question is how to properly handle this and get out of it?? I ended up with lots of things disabled and had to do a system restore after having just shut down with the power button on the tower.
IS THERE A BETTER WAY???
Thank you :whistling:

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
