Hello.

This morning, while on the internet, i got endless uncloseable pop-ups and shut my computer down wrong by holding down the start-up button. when i booted back up later on that day, and went to go into Internet Explorer, my homepage, Yahoo, wouldn't load and i got several pop-up notices saying such things as:

MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY and below the heading it said Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE - "This application had requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. And when i click okay, Internet Explorer closes.

I've also gotten messages saying: "Low Virtual Memory" and that windows was going to take care of it and expand the memory, or something along those lines.

A final message I received was that the "Paging File is too small for this operation to complete."

I don't know if this is a virus because it resulted from pop-ups and improper shut-down and happened so spur-of-the-momently, but I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me. I can use all programs on my computer except the internet, and I'm using a laptob at the moment for internet access.

I would greatly appreciate any help, or an email: Removed
thank you very much. -Sean

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
