2 computers sharing modem off a hub one computer works with internet connections the other computer no internet connection

OK....my computer is connected to my son and his works as far as internet connections go.

we even tried to use my computer but that didnt work

i just dont understand why mine doesnt connect.....it did before both computers

i cant even get to download any thing

his computer is the one with the modem we have hi-speed
