combo & rw drive problem .help!

:whistling: hi!just 2 days ago i connected a combo drive to my computer but windows cannot detect it.i have tried the add new hardware wizard many times but no success.worse is that my RW drive which i had installed months ago has also been lost(in the computer).i would be grateful if anyone could help me out . :blink:

Hey there sickperson, welcome to Geeks To Go Forums.

Let's try an see if the drives are enabled, goto:
> Start
> Control Panel
> System
> "Hardware" tab
> Click "Device Manager"
> Maximize "DVD/CD-ROM drives"

Once you have done that, check if there are any red crosses on the drive icons. If there is right click and click "Enable". This should re-enable the drive if it was disabled. Let me know if it works.
