Hi there,
Please, please, please help me! My PC has been on for the last couple of days and been running fine. I thought it would be a good idae to give it a little rest today so left it off while at work. On my return from work i turne it back on just to find that windows wont load. I'm running windows XP MCE on a compaq evo 1050v and from the switch on all that appears is the compaq logo then it goes to a black screen with the flashing command prompt _ and won't go any further! on occasions however it does come up with the message...

TRAP 00000006 =================== EXCEPTION ========================

tr=0028 cr0=80000011 cr2=00000000 cr3=00039000
gtd limit=03FF base=00017000 itd limit=07FF base=00017400

edi=00040000 esi=00001000 ebp=00060E7C cr0=80000011 fs=0030 gs=0000

Now i'm sorry but when Mr Gates made Windows XP did he actually think about how error messages should be displayed because this looks like utter nonsense to me! Hopefully some one can understand this and tell me what is going and how i can fix it.
