i got hit with pesttrap. updated my mcafee anti-virus and added spy sweeper and spyware doctor. Everything is running fine except there is still a small pesttrap program that will not delete and i cannot change my desktop background. i tried to run the restore function but my computer tells me it cannot restore to the selected date. i tried multiple dates and still no luck. i want to change my desktop background, new baby pics! and would like to get rid of that .5 MB little pesttrap program.

I followed the guidelines suggested above and it worked great. You have to be patient and follow the entire process for it to work. thanks again. remember keep your protection up to date and avoid this mess.
