I have a Windows Server 2003 box acting as a domain controller, I have
been having a problem with the CD Burner, "disappearing" ... I found
this event in the event viewer

"The device 'SAMSUNG CD-R/RW SW-252S'
(IDE\CdRomSAMSUNG_CD-R/RW_SW-252S_________________R901____\5&1a6c219a&0&0.0.0)
disappeared from the system without first being prepared for removal.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

When I go to the M$ link to get more info on the event I see this
"ERR_SURPRISE_REMOVAL_2"...

Obiously, I didn't actually remove the internal cd burner from the system,

In the past year I have dealt with it by a reboot, which takes care of
the problem for quite a while. Now the reboots are not working.

The only think to change on the box recently is the install of OpenVPN
1.6. I don't think this has much to do with my problem UNLESS the
Win32-TAP "virtual" interface installed by OVPN is interfering with
the "hardware" CDBurner.

Any Ideas?
