Hello All!

I'm desperate for some help on this. I've got a server running Windows Server 2003, MS SQL Express 2005 and McAfee VirusScan 8.0 Enterprise. All patches installed and virus scanner updated and scanning everyday. However, somehow, my system was compromised as I was originally getting the auto shutdowns with the LSASS.EXE file as failed. I know this usually means "Sasser" but I've scanned this server using Stinger, Symantecs FXSasser, TrendMicro Online Scanner, and the McAfee scanner in safe mode. While it did find some trojans and viruses it did not find Sasser. I've also scanned this server using Spybot S&D and Adaware and it found a few things which I cleaned up. I still cannot boot this system normally without getting the automated Shutdown, this time referring to the services.exe process. Right now I just finished scanning this with a fresh update of Spybot S&D and the FixBlaster tool (in safe mode). Nothing found. Below is a copy of my current HijackThis log (in safe mode).

Please help as at this point I can't even get my data off of the system. Yes, I can use the "shutdown -a" command to stop the automatic shutdown but the system just doesn't operate correctly. Any support is greatly appreciated! You've been Very helpful in the past. Here's hoping you have the wisdom and knowledge to help again!

Give me a just a few minutes and I'll post another HijackThis Log booted normally....I hope.

OK, here's a copy of my HijackThis log under normal boot. Took a while to get this. BTW, I AM still getting the automatic shutdown with LSASS.EXE. I though I wasn't (silly me).

I hope this helps shed more light on my dilema. I have a feeling though that there's not much to work on. Everytime I have to run the "shutdown -a" command from DOS a few of the Windows services stop running. I'm not sure which ones though.

I await someone's kind assistance.

Hello All,

Well, for time sake I am simply rebuilding this server from scratch. I was fortunate to recover all necessary data.

I appriceate your time in looking into this issue for me.
