OK, let me get down to the point, when I go to open my Windows Firewall settings, an error message opccurs saying:

Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display the Windows Firewall Settings.

Let me also mention the reason why I attempted to go to the settings ihn the first place is because the computer stated that my internet connection is limited or disabled.

And also take note that I am posting this on a different computer.

Thanks to any one who can help.

Run this on the problem PC

http://www.snapfiles...nsockxpfix.html

Items in blue which are underlined are clickable to give more information about the process

Click start then run, type prefetch then press enter, click edit then select all, right click any file then click delete, confirm delete

Click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools to run disc clean up

Click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools to run disc defragmenter

Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter, you need the XP CD and Windows File Protection will show a blue onscreen progress bar, when the bar goes, reboot

Consider using a third party firewall because the XP firewall only blocks incoming data
