Click start, control panel, sounds and audio then sounds and audio again, click the voice tab and you can set the default playback as the headphones, click the audio tab and you can set playback as the soundcard, click apply if you change anything

Under the audio tab, what about sound recording?

Do i set that as my headset or sound card?

What is the blue hole for in the soundcard? I have green hole, pink, and blue.

I know what pink is for, can you explain to me what the green and blue are for.

So the blue is nothing but CD / DVD sounds.

How do I tell if my headset is dedicated? My friend has a USB headset and I told her to do what you suggested in these posts and it works for her because she has Logitech USB headset, and she did what you showed.

But for me, I only have Realtek, I don't have any choices. How do I make it so I have choices? Mine is not a USB headset.

It would need to be dedicated

It would have a microphone and installation software

It's plug and play so designed to work without drivers, or windows automatically recognises it
