My sister sent me a email saying she gets this error

"internal error-SWFHost not running. cannot establish contact with SWF Host. this can happen if you ran CPSkin.exe directly, or if VZ control pad failed to run on startup. this error is fatal."

It will connect up to the internet, and after about two minutes, it will disconnect and say server not found. Some days it is ok and then the next day it does this all day.

I know she has WindowsXp and Verizon as her server.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

that would be something to refer to vendor over. but id first off uninstall control pad or go go into msconfig and disable it from starting up if its giving you errors

control pad isnt offered in any newer VOL software bundles; so unless shes got the original cd theres no way to reinstall it.

when you start getting the no route issue and she cant bring up pages, try to ping out from the computer to yahoo.com by ip (which should show up when you ping yahoo.com) and .com name and see if shes still connected.

if it pings out theres probably some spyware (go to http://www.microsoft.com/spyware and DL the beta, yes it free) on the comp or some other conflicting issue on it

if the anti spyware doesnt pick up anything, feel free to call in and see what else might be going on
