The light in my cordless optical mouse does not turn off. Even when my system is off. Needless to say I have to buy batteries quite often. At first, there is a bright still red light then it blinks rapidly and lastly it dims itself. But it stays on all night. Any solutions or recomendations on how to solve this problem, or how I can save on batteries................

Thank you in advance

Is there a switch on the bottom of the mouse you can flip to make the mouse go totally off?

Could you tell me what make and model the mouse is?

thanks.

Even microsoft mouses stay litup on some computers even tho the computer is off. I have 2 that do that but i do not have any problems with the computers so i don't bother trying to find the problem. unpluging the mouse and replugging stops the light so i think its just the circuits in the mouse.
