My computer starts up like it should. but the windows startup logo with the sliding bar doesn't show.

This picture shows the logo/bar that I'm missing:

My computer boots up normal. I thought it was just a little strange that the screen doesn't come up with that bar.

It's just a small little problem but nothing annoying. Is there a way to get this fixed?

Thankyou.

Emery.

..you could try a repair install of windows or maybe an sfc /scannow with the xp cd in your drive...but...i don't see this as being much of an issue if it's not causing problems (especially with windows....if it ain't broke don't fix it)

thanks for your reply dsenette. sfc /scannow doesn't work with my xp home cd. I think I'll just leave it as it is then..

Thanks.
