Keep getting disconnected

I keep getting a message saying that my connection is unpluged but I've checked all my connections and there all pluged in. I use AOL, amd a cable modem.

If you are able to use the internet when this message appears (in the system-tray I'm guessing, right?), my guess is it's referring to a connection you don't use, such as an ethernet port when you're in fact using an alternative such as USB (or wireless card on a laptop).

Open 'Network Connections' in Control panel, identify the connection you do not use, right-click and select 'Disable' . This should stop the connectivity message popping up.

If sometime in the future you need to use that connection, right-click it again in 'Network Connections' and click 'Enable.
