Hi,

Your cpu is under clocked this will not hurt anything but it can do much better. I have a 2500+ on a Abit KV7 and it can be finicky with some bios.

Go into bios and set your cpu clock (also called fsb) to 166 then save and exit, your cpu will then be recognized as a 2500+
There also could be a jumper on the mobo that is not set correctly and this will overide the bios, check your mobo manual for the location of the jumper.

Amd's answer is here
