Javascript doesn't open

I touched on this topic about a month ago, and got some help, but the problem apparently wasn't fixed. For some reason javascript programs do not open on this computer. An example is this: java script:cnnVideo('play','/video/tech/2006/07/25/pkg.fl.beached.whale.wsvn','2006/08/01'); which is a link off cnn to a video. However, nothing happens when I click on it. When I right click and hit "open in new window" it comes up as page cannot be displayed. I have the latest Java updates. Latest Windows Updates. Running Windows Xp home. Not sure what is wrong. Can anyone help me.
