I recently got infected with a trojan which I believe has to do something with winxxx.tmp.exe. It used to give many popups in both window and taskbar format but I believe I have gotten rid of these. The major problem I have now is an extremely slow startup and a "Web page unavailable while offline" window that keeps popping up. Once in a while the windows keep popping infintely and rapidly, causing me to have to restart the computer. Norton was the one that detected the winxxx.tmp.exe files but I think it wasn't able to do anything about them.

I have done the following:
-ewido security suite
-SmitfraudFix
-System Security Suite

Here are my logs for ewido and Smitfraudfix and Hijackthis. I actually have 2 ewido logs because I did not run it fully the first time:

Hi and welcome to GeeksToGo! My name is Sam and I will be helping you. :whistling:
I apologize for the delay getting to your log, the helpers here are very busy.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
  • You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
  • When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
  • Turn your computer back on.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Hello. Thank you a lot for the reply, but I ended up doing a non-destructive recovery and everything is fine now. Again, thanks for the response.
