zestron, for 1282 cdn (plus tax) it's not a very good deal you can get twice the computer for 1000. first of all. the cpu can be upgraded to a 4200 (huge price drop on amd's) which is around 300. the gfx card you chose is mid range, you can get a x1800 (high end) for sub 300 at futureshop (sale price). that's 600 dollars. Now 2 gigs of ram is 200, that's 800, a mobo is 130, that's 930, an antec sonata II case with ps is 100 that's 1030 hard drive is 100 that's 1130. DVD drive is 45 that's 1175 and finally a creative x fi sound card (100 times better than what you chose) is 100 which brings the total price to 1275.

Twice the system and you get to save 7 dollars ^_^

for the accurate prices please check www.ncix.com (the cdn newegg)

I agree with the soundcard. Get a SoundBlaster X-Fi for sure, they sound amazing and aren't that expensive. I got a computer a wee better, actually a bit better than that (read my sig) and it was about $1100 (no monitor, already had that).

Do some more price shopping before rushing out to buy it.

Wow, this really sucks because I've been talking to MysteryByte over email for a long time now. Should I feel bad if I don't go to them?

I'll go check out that website now.

The original computer build he chose is actually a better computer than your current computer.

Guy's. Who ever said shop on those online store's are pretty stupid right now because It would cost alot to ship it obviously. My8steryByte is like a 4 min drive from my house. I could have a lot more flexability at MysteryByte.
Thanks anyways.

From what im seeing there the stores are cheaper and besides your going with the wrng make of CPU get an intel the things are like 16% faster than equivalent AMDs.

The company wont be able to offer the same quality of compnents that you can buy in stores with the same selection and at the same or a similar price they just cant do it the economics dont work, rule of thumbe is about $100 or 5-7% of the cost of the system is reasonable for something under 1500, unless they can provide something special which they dont seem to. They have LESS flexibilty, what world are youliving in shipping wise the rest of us is in2006 i know canada is a little weird sometimes but in the rest of the western world shipping is DIRT cheap these days if you buy enough most companies will give you it free these days and if you buy $500 of parts 8 for shipping is nothing. Shipping is nothing compared to labour and shipping charges on the builders side(they ship it as well you still pay for it)
