This is driving me crazy! I uninstalled the old version using a tool on Adobe's site and now I can't get anything to run-shockwave or flash player.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks so much!!!

have you installed flash v8 or v9? I am not real happy with v9 as it is an active x plugin and not a full player app like v8. Many sites (espn) still require 8 inorder for it to play.

starjax,

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I went out of town.

I found the Flash Player 9 on my add/remove programs, but I cannot view anything. My son visits a lot of the cartoon sites and is having problems.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

the problem is that many sites have not updated thier code to work with flash player 9. Even espn has issues with flash 9. It is a real pain. Looks like they have released a point upgrade... current version is now 9.016.

I haven't been able to find anyone with flash 8 available for download.

Thank you starjax. I appreciate your help! I'll keep checking for some type of patch.

Have a good weekend!
